What This Study Did, in Plain Language

What Was Tested

The trial (not phased) is built around Glutathione.

The objective of this study is to evaluate whether Double Nutri® liposomal encapsulation technology can enhance the oral absorption of liquid vitamin C and glutathione supplements in humans.

It had two arms (groups): Vitamin C and Glutathione without liposome (active comparator) and Liposomal Vitamin C and Glutathione (experimental).

The registry classes the interventions as dietary supplement.

More on the Plan

Healthy adult participants aged 18 years and older will be enrolled.

Each participant will complete two study sessions, with a minimum washout period of 7 days between sessions.

On each study day, venous blood samples will be collected prior to test product administration (0 minutes) to assess vitamin C levels, glutathione levels, complete blood count, blood lipids, blood glucose, and liver and kidney function indicators.

After baseline blood collection, a standardized breakfast will be provided and consumed within 10 minutes, followed by administration of the test product.

Who Took Part

20 actual participants took part.

It was open to people of any sex aged from 18 years with no upper age limit.

Healthy volunteers could join, not only people with the condition.

Examples of who could join: Adults aged 18 years or older, of any sex, who are willing to sign the informed consent form and are able to fully comply with all study procedures.

The full record lists 1 inclusion and 7 exclusion criteria; among the exclusions: pregnant or breastfeeding women, or individuals unwilling to use physical contraceptive methods during the study period, such as condoms or intrauterine devices (iuds); individuals who have undergone gastrointestinal surgery, organ transplantation, or other major surgical procedures; individuals who experienced acute gastroenteritis within two weeks prior to study initiation.

How the Study Was Run

The set-up was randomized, crossover and double-blind.

Random assignment meant chance, not the researchers, decided who got Glutathione and who got the comparison, which limits bias.

Each person switched between Glutathione and the comparison at some point, usually with a gap in between.

Neither the participants nor the staff measuring them knew who was on Glutathione, so expectations could not easily colour the readings.

Those kept unaware of assignments: participant and investigator.

It started in 2025-12-15 with completion listed for 2026-01-16.

It ran at 1 site in Taiwan.

Its stated primary purpose is treatment.

What Was Measured

Primary outcome: Blood vitamin C level (ug/mL) (time frame: at 8 hours after taking test sample). Blood glutathione level (μmol/L) (time frame: at 8 hours after taking test sample).

What This Means in Plain Language

Put simply, this is a not phased, randomized trial of Glutathione in 20 people.

Its size is small, so on its own it can only give an early look.

The trial is marked completed; no results are posted to the registry yet, so nothing here describes outcomes.
