What it is

An estrogen-related-receptor (ERR) agonist (non-peptide) described as an "exercise mimetic." It copies endurance training at the gene level.

Mechanism (as described)

Binding ERRα changes its shape so it recruits PGC-1α. The complex switches on mitochondrial genes (cytochrome c, COX4, ATP synthase), CPT1 and fatty-acid oxidation, and maximal respiration rises. It overlaps with MOTS-c/AMPK signaling. Also described as improving cardiac efficiency, replacing leaky mitochondria (less inflammation), and having antiviral effects.

Additional points (as described)

  • Shifts muscle toward fatigue-resistant type I/IIa fibers. In the liver, ERRα dampens glucose production, so both the glucose "sink" (muscle) and "source" (liver) improve.
  • Mimics an endurance session at the gene level, but it's meant to be married to real exercise (the daily walk), not to replace it.
  • Oral bioavailability is under 5%.
  • Fat-loss trio roles: retatrutide (appetite, partitioning), MOTS-c (cell machinery), SLU-PP-332 (constant exercise signal).
