What it is
Amycretin is described as Novo Nordisk's first-in-class unimolecular GLP-1 and amylin receptor agonist: one peptide instead of the two-drug CagriSema approach.
Mechanism (as described)
- It combines GLP-1 receptor activity (appetite, insulin) with amylin receptor activity (satiety, slower gastric emptying) in one molecule (Kuhre et al., 2025).
Status
Investigational (phase 2/3).
Registered human trials (23)
Peer-reviewed studies (4)
