What it is

CJC-1295 with DAC is described as a modified GHRH(1-29) attached to a reactive "drug affinity complex" that bonds to albumin in the blood, stretching its half-life to roughly 6 to 8 days.

It was developed by ConjuChem; clinical development stopped in 2006 after a trial death that the company said was unrelated to the drug.

Mechanism (as described)

  • Continuous GHRH-receptor stimulation raised average GH and IGF-1 for days, while the normal pulsatile pattern of GH release was reported to persist (Ionescu et al., 2006).

Evidence (as described)

  • No outcome trials (body composition, function) were completed.

Status

Never approved; development halted in 2006.
