What it is
GHRP-1 is described as a synthetic heptapeptide ghrelin-receptor agonist from the same research line as GHRP-2 and GHRP-6, which have their own pages.
Mechanism (as described)
- It stimulates pituitary GH release via GHS-R1a.
Evidence (as described)
- Small human studies in the 1990s measured GH responses, including in GH-deficient children (Mericq et al., 1995).
